For our client, an international company in the financial industry, which is opening a new branch in Wrocław, we are looking for a Candidate for the position of Accounting and Reporting Manager!

- Overview the process of regular financial reporting
- Booking of purchases invoices
- Reconciliation of accounting accounts, settlement accounts, confirmation of balances
- Ensure all statutory reporting requirements (incl. reporting to statistical offices and National Bank of Poland) are met
- Work closely with all business lines to ensure data quality and consistency of the financial data reported
- Develop and update local policies and procedures in line with Group standards
- Secure an effective internal control system in the accounting, closing and reporting process
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all statutory financial reporting activities, including the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, and coordination of external financial audits
- Provide input to the Group’s consolidated financial statements
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations applicable to the bank
- Filing of tax declarations and other tax reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide guidance on new and existing products and services from an accounting and tax perspective
- Stay updated on changes in tax and finance laws and regulations to ensure the company’s practices align with the latest requirements and promptly update internal processes accordingly
- Master’s degree in the field of Finance and/or Accounting
- At least 5 years of the relevant professional experience in a similar role in a bank
- Strong and technical knowledge and experience in financial reporting, including submissions to relevant authorities
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of laws applicable to financial institutions as well as industry best practices
- Finrep reporting, regulatory reporting expertise and knowledge
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with different departments and teams within the organization
- Fluent business level English (written and spoken
- ACCA or any similar certification would be an asset
- Excellent problem – solving and communication skills
