vacation.
A temporary employee is entitled to 2 days of holiday leave for each month of employment, i.e. 30 days counted as the total of the subsequent days of employment at Randstad. A temporary employee receives equivalent pay for the holiday leave when their temporary employment contract expires and they have not used the holiday leave days they obtained the right to during that time (i.e. the term of the contract).
example:
A temporary employee was employed:
- between 1 and 20 January, which means that the employment period is 20 days;
- between 1 and 16 February, which means that the employment period is 16 days.
In February, the employee obtained the right to 2 days of vacation because they have worked for 36 days (2 days of vacation for each 30 days of employment). The remaining 6 days are transferred to the next settlement period that gives rise to a holiday leave entitlement.
accident and health insurance – health care
All social security contributions are paid for a temporary employee, including health and accident insurance. This means they are entitled to free medical services. In case of accident at work, they would receive a sickness benefit in the amount of 100% of their remuneration from accident insurance (condition: inability to work must be confirmed by submitting a medical certificate to Randstad). In the case of a long-term health deterioration, the employee has the right to request the Polish Social Security Institution (ZUS) for one-off compensation. Where a temporary employee suffers an accident on their way to work/back home from work, they are also entitled to sickness benefit in the amount of 100% of their remuneration.
sickness insurance – remuneration and sickness benefits.
The temporary employee obtains sickness insurance coverage after 30 days of a continuous work. Continuous means that the interval between subsequent contracts cannot exceed 30 days. Remuneration for the period of sickness is calculated and paid after Randstad receives the original medical certificate (including an electronic certificate from the Polish Social Security Institution) no later than 7 days from the certificate issue date.
pension and disability insurance.
Employment under a temporary employment contract is taken into account when determining the amount of pension or disability pension and is included when calculating job seniority.
family and care allowances.
Persons interested in receiving family and care allowance should submit documents authorizing them to receive payments of these allowances to competent authorities: Municipal Social Welfare Centers (Miejskie Ośrodki Pomocy Społecznej, MOPS), Labor Offices (Urzędy Pracy, UP), City Halls or Municipality Offices.
